I bring to the design process 30 years of experience in many wood working disciplines such as; furniture design (1980's), stringed instrument construction (1980's) and 20 years with the John Brombaugh Organ Shop building 18th & 19th century style pipe organs. I came into it as a general wood worker and ending, upon his retirement, as shop foreman, project manager, mentor, journeyman. I have done installations all over the USA and Sweden, Canada and our last big project in Japan in '03. These pipe organs are built to last for centuries to come, not merely decades.
These experiences have given me the skill base and ability to create, with client collaboration, interesting, satisfying and understated design using beautiful woods, hardware and traditional construction techniques that let the quality of the craftsmanship speak to you for many years.
My work since leaving the 18th/19th century Pipe Organ world 5 years ago has been focused on early 20th century American interiors; kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and office cabinetry and furniture in the West Coast Bungalow/ Arts & Crafts style updated to suit today's tastes.
